Why is February the month of love?
I am not 100 percent sure. I think I might have just made that up!? I assumed since Valentine’s Day is on the 14th that this must be the “Month of Love”! So that brings me to some questions:
- What is love?
- Do you love your job?
- Why do people love their jobs?
- How do you find a job you love?
- Do people really love their jobs?
- What’s love got to do with it?
What is love?
- An intense feeling of deep affection
- A person or thing that one loves
- A score of zero in tennis
Do you love your job?
I think most of us have never asked ourselves that question. In order to love your job by definition, you would need to feel deep affection toward your job?
It certainly seems like this would be something tough to feel toward a job since I assume a large amount of the working population hate going to work. But I know there are many people who say they love their job, so it is possible!
Why do people love their job?
- They enjoy their co-workers and team
- Company culture
- They are engaged and have a high interest in the work or cause
- Pay? I think some may love their jobs because of the pay, but is that really love?
- They feel like they make an impact
- They feel appreciated or wanted in their role
These are just a few reasons, but there could be many more reasons why someone may love their job.
How do you find a job you love?
First, I think you need to figure out what you really enjoy doing. Then you need to find a position that you will be engaged in and have a strong interest in. Finding the right team and co-workers can be a little tricky though. I think if you make sure you find a company that has a good culture, the likelihood of there being many strong teams within that organization is better. I also feel it is up to you to embrace your situation and make the most of it and then you may end up loving your job. If you believe it will happen, you can do it!
Do people really love their job?
The short answer is yes. People really do love their jobs! I’ve met people who you can clearly tell they love what they do. If you do not feel this love toward your job, you need to know that you can make a change and should go for it. When you love your job and what you do, it will make waking up every day a lot easier. Your professional and personal life will be so much more fulfilling.
What’s love got to do with it?
Basically I was just looking for a reason to reference Tina Turner! It’s a great song from the 80’s! But I think love has a lot to do with it. If you love your job and what you do, your work life will be so much more enjoyable.
So get out there and find that job you will LOVE. It is possible and you can thank me later for letting you know it is really out there.
I hope everyone enjoys “The month of love”.
