Project Relate is a public service campaign that strives to break
down the stigma and stereotypes associated with mental illness and help the
public relate to those who cope with these issues.
The project is a joint effort between mental
health service providers, advocacy groups such as The Kim Foundation
(see column to the right) and non-profit organizations across
Nebraska – a rare and important partnership.
Mental Health Resources
In addition to speaking out against stigma and providing information about
mental illness to the community, Project Relate also aims to provide a
clearinghouse of mental health resources across the state of Nebraska.
This way, people who suffer from mental illness and their loved ones can
easily find the mental health services they need.
This project was only made possible through
the dedication of time, energy, expertise and resources from
a variety of health care, social service, non-profit, and other
organizations.

The Kim Foundation was established by the founders of C&A
Industries, the parent company of AurStaff, because of their personal
commitment
to help build a better community. The Kim Foundation’s main mission
is to provide support to charitable organizations, with a special emphasis
on those organizations that assist individuals with mental health difficulties.
We recognize the power teamwork can have in the fight against mental illness.
Advocacy and Support
In addition to providing critical financial support to programs serving local
mental health needs, The Kim Foundation advocates for those suffering from
mental illness, their caregivers, and their families. We work to encourage
legislation that will free up desperately needed resources, and allocate
those resources to programs that meet client needs directly, in the local
community.
Bringing Our Community Together
The Kim Foundation also serves as a link between the many individuals that
must combine forces to improve the lives of those suffering from mental
illness – family caregivers, mental health service providers, legislators,
and concerned members of the community. We also focus on raising mental
health awareness in our community through public education and encouraging
volunteerism.

Career OutReach is a non-profit organization that reaches out to
individuals who are seeking employment or are trying to improve their current
employment situation. We are dedicated to empowering people as they increase
their skills and seek to make a better life. Career OutReach is funded by
C&A Industries, the parent company of AurStaff, whose founders want
to share their successes by giving back to the community. There is never
a charge to the organizations or the individuals we help.
Services to Individuals
Career OutReach provides assistance to individuals seeking immediate employment.
Our professionals from our wide network evaluate their job skills and career
goals. After reviewing this information, they make an appropriate referral
to local businesses that have employment opportunities. In addition, our
career specialist works with individuals to determine what professional
or vocational training opportunities would help them gain employment.
Community Education Program
Our Community Education Program provides specialized seminars for members
of community groups, church congregations, and other civic organizations
who are unemployed or underemployed. We have also developed seminars for
at-risk high school seniors to help them transition into the job market
and for employers who seek to help their employees find new opportunities
during a layoff. These seminars are intended to provide participants with
the means to evaluate their current employment situation and help them
identify and develop job-seeking skills.
