C&A Industries, parent company of AurStaff, has made news again, having been named among the best employment agencies in Omaha by B2B Magazine for the third consecutive year! The announcement is featured in the magazine’s April 2011 issue.

Based on reader’s vote, predominantly comprised of members of Omaha’s business community, B2B Magazine awards the “Best of” in several categories, including professional services, business services, financial services, building services and travel & event planning.

B2B Magazine is Greater Omaha’s premiere business publication, featuring the latest business developments as well as features on Omaha’s most prominent business leaders.

Over the last several months, C&A has also been named among Omaha’s Best Places to Work by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Baird Holm.

The annual initiative, sponsored by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Baird Holm, recognizes a select number of companies based on the results of surveys which measure employee satisfaction and engagement. C&A has been named in the category of organizations with more than 250 employees.

“To once again be recognized as among Omaha’s best serves as yet another affirmation of the fantastic people who work at C&A. Our employees make it one of the finest companies to work for and a national leader in the markets we serve,” said Scot Thompson, Chief Executive Officer. “This award is not only an honor for our organization, but also for each employee who has helped to make C&A what it is today. C&A will be recognized along with other Best Places to Work recipients during a luncheon on May 5, 2011.

C&A employees have had a busy year helping out those less fortunate by hosting fundraisers, voluteering, and spreading the message of goodwill through the community. As we gear up for our annual holiday AurElves volunteer campaign (from Thanksgiving to Christmas), take a look back at last year’s AurElves project and some other giving projects employees participated in throughout 2010 by watching our community video.

C&A to Host BBQ Fundraiser

C&A (parent company of AurStaff) employee Logan Hendrickson will be featured on the Season 2 premiere of the TLC reality series, BBQ PITMASTERS, Thursday, August 12 at 9 p.m. CST. Logan and his teammates, the competition BBQ team Hot Grill on Grill Action, will go up against three other BBQ teams from across the nation on the first of a six episode series! C&A employees will get the chance to taste test Logan’s BBQ at a fundraiser lunch C&A is holding in honor of his performance. Proceeds from the lunch will be donated to the Omaha Food Bank.

Project Fresh Start a Success!

C&A, parent company of AurStaff, concluded Project Fresh Start, a back-to-school clothing drive, in conjunction with the Open Door Mission and Lydia House! Employees donated new clothing for kids entering grades K-6 as well as cash and gift cards that will be used to purchase items and sizes in shorter supply. A great effort for a great cause!
